The headline reads, “War Declared!!!” This poster symbolizes the divided nation and Lincoln’s role in the middle of the conflict. There is an American flag displayed on the left side of the poster and a Confederate flag on the right. A picture of Abraham Lincoln is in the very center of the poster. There are two crossed pistols located on top of the flags and behind his picture. The words in the top left are, “A Nation Divided 1861.” The words, “Re-united 1865″ are located on the bottom of the poster.
