I used Audacity to clip one excerpt from the beginning of Bryce’s piece and one from the end, didn’t alter them in any other way. I used a program from Nokia (free from their site for anyone, no Nokia phone needed) to convert the mp3s to the .amr format (Adaptive Multi-Rate ACELP Codec, a speech encoding format used in GSM telephony for ringtones and other purposes).
You can also play them with RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime Audio, and a number of other players, so you don’t need a phone to hear them. People who want to use them as ringtones should consult their phone’s documentation for installation instructions.
