This Google Map is part of PBS’s Looking For Lincoln documentary. Given that some of project artist ARCHIVE’s work focuses on Lincoln statues, I thought other folks might be interested in finding statues near them and maybe making their own art based on these statues.

Each of the Lincoln statue pictures on the website was taken by me over the past 4 years. I have visited and photographed well over 200 statues, monuments and memorials to Lincoln in my travels throughout the United States - including Hawaii.
I hope to publish these in a book in the next year or two using the title “A Life Worth Remembering - The Monumental Legacy of Abraham Lincoln.”
There’s a statue of Abraham Lincoln in Racine, Wisconsin that I did not see in the map. It is located at the intersection where State Street, Harriet Street, Hamilton Street and Summit Avenue all come together (in a little triangular patch of grass). I know because I grew up a couple of blocks from there and we used to climb on it as kids. Over time the statue turned green, as most of them do. However a few years back he was restored to his original color.
