Finding Lincoln

Maira Kalman is one of the most recognized and important artist/illustrator/designers working today. Her work has ranged from children’s books to illustrations for The New York Times Magazine and The New Yorker to an illustrated edition of Strunk & White’s Elements of Style—which even included a picture of Lincoln!

For her Abe project Maira has created “Finding Lincoln,” a 44 panel story based on the life of Abraham Lincoln, weaving in her own personal story about searching for Lincoln.
